Talking to Michael about a month ago, we looked a bunch of sites that later Margaret said she found and first showed him. Photograzing was one of these. Okay, I went to my notes and found these urls:

I got curious as to how to create these sites. What templates where they using?

I still haven’t figured out how the image and thumbnails work. But since this is basically a Thematic Sandbox, I have installed it here and am making these notes for future reference.

I added the Smitty picture two weeks ago when I first tested this theme. Now I do not know why it’s thumbnail appears but none of the others.

Jed sent over WP29 yesterday. About the only thing I remember from WordCamp is that image control is increased. Let’s go see what happens with that right now.

Okay, it took a bit of fumbling but I think I got there, on the cropping of photos at least. When you select and image to include (Show) that is where you are given the Edit Image option. Dragging the cursor across the image give you the edit bars. THEN you have to click the scissors icon on top to Crop the image. Then hit the Save button which does not highlight until you have done all of the above. Then Insert Into Post and the normal fields to fill out or ignore. I do wish they would color the Insert Into Post button blue like the Save buttons. Clients always miss it.

Thanksgiving weekend

Event Calendar 3 by Firetree

3. Change settings on the ‘Plugins > Event Calendar’ options screen. [details]
You must choose which WordPress category to use for events. (Viewing the options screen for the first time also sets up the database, and upgrades events from older versions of EventCalendar.)

4. Add the Event Calendar or Upcoming Events list to your sidebar.

If you use the WordPress Widgets, then the Event Calendar is available as an easy to install widget. In order to use it you must first activate the “Event Calendar Widget” plugin.

Testing Events Manager. Having some trouble getting the details to display. But everything else is so cool.

UPDATE: Went to the forums and found one answer about how to display the Event Details. Might even be a clue to the code structure which is always hard for me to penetrate.

Among numerous comments we found many request for a gallery-theme that could be particularly useful for portfolios and showcases. At the very same time Christopher Wallace has been designing an advanced gallery-WordPress-theme for the design community and Smashing Magazine’s audience. And today finally we are proud to release it – for free, of course.
