These are some of my typographic and illustration assignments since 2001. I have not included any of the work I did at TIME magazine here but would be happy to show you that portfolio upon request.

Time TIME Magazine contacted me to do a cover illustration of emerging Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean. I had used the same Paint by Numbers technique for one of William Cohen and Tom Hanks six years earlier.

You're Too Kind Handsome and engaging Richard Stengel asked me to redesign the cover for the paperback edition of his illuminating history of flattery: “You’re Too Kind”. He still praises me for my fine use of typography and excellent photography.

You're Too Kind Enter Sandman was the critically acclaimed first novel by Stephanie Williams that was published by McWitty Press. I designed the jacket and also the publisher’s website.

n e thyme Minneapolis caterer Cynthia Olson contacted me to design the identity and signage of her new restaurant “n e thyme” , a play on her catering business name Never Enough Thyme.

Clean New World MIT Press did not use either of my solutions for Maud Lavin’s book “Clean New World”, an examination of the influences of Graphic Design on contemporary culture and politics.

women rock LifeTimeTV.com needed a “Save the Date” reminder for their annual Women Rock! concert in LA. Though done for the web, I have included it here as design and typography sample.

NYU Medical Library NYU Ehrman Medical Library needed a large poster for the lobby informing visitors of the new remote access to the library’s electronic resources. Doctors! Nurses! Start your computers!

filmakers library Filmakers Library asked me to create a template design for their video jackets that could be printed in-house on an as needed basis. Their catalog has more than 500 entries.

New Republic The New Republic commissioned this paint-by-numbers cover illustration after seeing a Tom Hanks illustration I had done for Time Magazine. The Howard Dean cover came much later.
